Bengaluru offers green

Bengaluru welcomed its first electric bus on Thursday, 30th September. Transport minister B Sriramulu inaugurated the 'green bus'.

Uttar Pradesh's JBM Auto Limited has manufactured the electric buses, and the Bangalore Municipality Corporation (BMC) operate them. About 90 electric e-buses were launched at the Kengeri depot, and each had a capacity of 33 passengers. The BMTC will reportedly install charging points for the buses at each of the stops and install three such depots in total.

Expectations from the collaborators: Climate change is causing significant changes to India's monsoon, which is crucial for agriculture and water supply. The Indian monsoon brings seasonal rains that are vital for farmers and the economy. However, due to climate change, these monsoon patterns are becoming more unpredictable and extreme.

Incentives: One of the impacts of climate change on the Indian monsoon is altered rainfall patterns. Some regions experience heavier rains and floods, while others face droughts and water shortages.
